It’s well known that Jay-Z’s look has grown up and broadened over the last couple of years (and it probably has a lot to do with his relationship with Ms. “Upgrade U“, Beyonce).  According to him, he’s where the hood and high fashion meet… and I agree.  With that said, I really like the outfit he’s wearing while watching his New Jersey Nets play here.  I would definitely rock something like this, except I’d probably have some Jack Purcell’s or a pair of Cr8tive Reaction’s on instead, and it’d be a little more fitted.  I co-sign though.

For those of you that aren’t familiar with one of the greatest tragedies in television history, get familiar!!!  Arrested Development is easily one of my favorite shows, up there with the Fresh Prince Of Belair and Seinfeld, but it was canceled after just three seasons.  It was heavily critically acclaimed, had a huge cult following, an an all star cast, and great writing… but, sadly, it didn’t last.

But now the good news… I recently saw on filmdrunk that it looks like they’re going to make an Arrested Development movie!!!  And that makes me REALLY REALLY happy!

As always, it looks dope!

I knew Justin Timberlake had a sense of humor but this is bold!!  He threw on some high heals and tights for SNL to do a parody of Beyonce’s Sing Ladies video… and it’s hilarious.

There’s some songs that I really like because they’re innovative, or there’s a melody that just sinks in and gets stuck in my head.  There’s other songs that I like because of the lyrics or because I’m really impressed with the angle the artist took on it.  Other songs I just like because they’re a good song… a good idea and well executed.

Then there’s songs that I hear and I instantly fall in love and feel a jealousy about.  I wish I had written them.  They are so relatable and similar to my thought.  They move me both lyrically and musically.  They remind me of why I first fell in love with music, taking me back to when I was young and would shut myself up in my room to listen to music for hours and hours on end… most of the songs that I feel that way about had something to do with the Beatles (Imagine, Working Class Heroes).  But Kanye’s “Welcome to Heartbreak” is one of those songs for me.

There are so many sacrifices, big and small, associated with chasing a dream and trying to create something out of nothing.  On a daily basis, I have moments like the ones this song describes.
